Good afternoon :)
I’ve been on Oestrogel 3 pumps and Utrogestan 200mg 12 nights for 18 cycles. I’d missed 8 periods before starting. I’m now 54. I have a decent bleed most months.
When I have my next review my GP won’t know what to do so I’d like to have an idea of what normally would happen regarding going on Conti .. how would you know that it was time, that you’re own periods have stopped.
I’m sleeping much better when I’m on the Utrogestan, for the Oestrogel only 2 weeks I am sleep deprived at times which is awful. If I was on continuous regimen and on 100mg nightly would it still aid sleep, if so that’s appealing, but if not I’d be reluctant because those 2 weeks of getting some sleep are blissful.
Can anyone help?

The advice is that you can try a Conti regime after being on a Sequi regime for 12 months. You may suffer breakthrough bleeding as your body settles. If the bleeding carries on beyond 6 months you might not be ready for a Conti regime.

Thanks Dotty,
I’ll make a note of that for the next review.
