Title: Thyroid meds dose + Estradiol gel 0.1%

Good morning!

This is a question for those being treated for underactive thyroid/Hashimoto's.

Can anyone tell me if Estradol 0.1% gel (estrogen) interacts with the meds for Hashimoto's? Both my gyne and thyroid specialist say no but I prefer to ask here too.

My thyroid meds dose has been off since March (premenopause they say). I've been on treatment since 2012 but only had 18 months on the right dose, until March of this year when my premenopause symptoms cranked up several gears  :(

I don't know whether I should wait until the thyroid meds dose is back on track or start the gel right away. I mean, I really need it anyway...!

Hi

I am on 100mg Leveroxine. I have a blood check every six months as it fluctuates on a regular basis.

I have never had a problem with it affecting my thryoid meds.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I just feel so exhausted and ill (they have literally checked me for everything and all is OK, just my thyroid levels which are off - dose too low) but I've never felt this bad before when dose is off. Been feeling like this since March. My Dr thinks it's the combination of premenopause and my dose. So I suppose I better start this estrogen gel!
