Title: High oestrogen

Hi I’m on evorel 50 patch and utrogestsn nightly.  I’m 8 years post meno and 54 years old. I’ve just had a private blood test and my oestrogen levels were 1256 pmol 🫣 my testosterone was high too. My fsh was really low. When I apply my new patch I leave my old one on. I thought that would just run out lol…my last test about 4 years ago (femoston conti) was oestrogen 111 pool and testosterone 0.8.  My joints are aching so I thought I needed more oestrogen but obviously not xx

Hi was it a finger prick blood test ? x

Hi the finger prick blood tests are unreliable when it comes to Oestrogen readings when using hrt. Dr Louise Newson has advised not to use them. x

Thank you. I do feel it is a false reading. Total waste of money then lol. GP wouldn’t do it though x
