Hi ladies,
I was recently told by my consultant to increase my estrogen as I mentioned some lingering fatigue & brain fog. He suggested adding another 1/2 a conti patch(I use Evorel Conti). I added a 1/16 of a conti, but this last week I started to feel hyperactive & manic, mixed with feeling depressed…quite scary. I started on this route about 3 weeks ago. I decided to take that off, give it a few days and just add a small portion (approx 3.1mcg) of a regular evorel. The same thing happened.
I don’t know what to do at this point, but I definitely don’t want to feel like that ever again…it was disturbing. It’s not a feeling I’m willing to ride out. I’m feeling better now, but wonder where this leaves me dosage wise.
For reference, I’m nearly 40 and have a diagnosis of POI.
What do I do? Help!

Sorry you’ve had a bad experience with the extra dosage.
Just wanted to send you a hug as I know how it feels on the hormonal rollercoaster.
I think sometimes too much oestrogen can be as bad as not enough.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to offer help to you.
Take care.
