Title: Body Identical HRT How long does it take to work
Post by: MsFitness22 on October 28, 2022, 05:32:33 PM
Hi Everyone

I just started taking HRT 2 days ago.  I've not noticed any improvements yet.  Does anyone know how long it takes to start working?

Two days is so early. It took me a few months before I felt any improvement. It takes time to work out the right HRT and then the right dose. Hang on in there as it is very early days.

Hello Ms Fitness
When I've changed dose or type of hrt, I've found it takes a couple of weeks to start feeling benefits and 2-3 months to feel full effects.
Sit tight, good luck!

Hi Ms Fitness

It also depends what symptoms you were experiencing that led you to start HRT and the type of HRT you are taking. Hot flushes and sweats, if caused by menopausal low/decline oestrogen , are often the first symptoms to go, and women often report that transdermal HRT works pretty fast on these - so you may notice a gradual decline in flushes etc within a week, but may take a couple of weeks or so to disappear (but could be longer). Other symptoms may take longer.
