Title: Dreams
Post by: Stella2 on October 21, 2022, 08:08:54 AM

I wonder if anyone has similar experience. I read somewhere that one of Utrogestan side effects can be vivid dreams, mine are vivid and stressful, getting into some fearful or annoying situations. In addition to this I am waking up a lot and generally waking up to early. I always had a tendency for this but all seems amplified since starting the HRT (continuous, 100 mg Utrogestan and around 65 Estradot)

It is likely it is the ultrogestan. Many medications have this horrid side effect. I am on an antidepressant and have such vivid dreams I wake thinking they are real. I am sorry you are experiencing this.

I notice it can take time for sleep to improve on HRT. It is often one of the last symptoms to improve. If this is a new regime for you then it may just be a matter of your body adjusting before your sleep gets better. I really hope that is soon.

Without a doubt, utrogestan has caused vivid dreams with me  :o …..
However, I’ll take this side effect as I now get a good 8 hours sleep 😴👍

We now have 3 threads on 'dreams' so many must be experiencing these.

I should have checked before I posted, I wasn't aware of other threads...thanks for your responses. I am now 11 months into my regime, it might get better. Hot flushes were much worse to bear with

It shows that these issues are 'common' during peri-!   U R not alone.
