Title: Menopausing book by Davina - anyone bought it ?
Post by: Orba on October 05, 2022, 08:37:08 AM
Hi  ladies,
I'm seeing FB adverts for Davina McCalls book " Menopausing"
Am tempted to buy , it's £11.
Just wondering if anyone bought / read it ?
It could be that it just reinforces what I /we already know but might be reassuring ? 🤔

Hi Orba

Yes I’ve read it, it’s not very good in my opinion.
The best two books are by Lara Briden called Repair your Period and for postmeno ladies Hormone Repair Manual.

Very comprehensive books looking at all aspects including supplements.

The best menopause book in the 1980's was by Dr Miriam Stoppard, it was the menopause book of its day, very enlightening and reassuring regarding HRT and other issues.
Today I would never buy a book by a celebrity, no matter her good intentions, always go with those who know, the professionals in their field.
