Post by: Khm on October 01, 2022, 08:58:26 AM
Waiting on an appointment for scan as had post menopause bleed a couple of weeks ago after being on evorel conti for 7 months.  Gp said to stop patches if I had more bleeding and today, two weeks later another bleed.  Really not sure wot to do is it worth stopping 🤷🏼‍♀️

Khm - If you are feeling good on the patches I would stay on them.
Quick question - Have you taken any anti-biotics recently?
I have been on Evorel Conti for a good while had a post menopausal bleed quite recently. Had a scan, no problems and the hospital consultant I saw put the bleed down to the ABs.

Hi all

Agree Limpy on the impact of ABs. I always find my meno symptoms return during a course to settle after finishing. I was told by my GP that they can reduce effectiveness of HRT and also with the fighting infection the body prioritises that x

Hello ladies.

Many years ago I was told that the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill could be reduced if you also took anti biotics.
This may not be a problem with today's pill but the principle is the same and it may apply to HRT.

Take care ladies.
