Title: Stopped HRT Suddenly
Post by: Julie04 on September 18, 2022, 06:37:37 PM
Hi ladies , any help / advice greatly appreciated … was on Elleste Duet for four months and felt better at first then the bloating / angry mood / weight gain was happening (10lbs in four months)  (I run most days so I don’t really gain weight) and sore boobs and I just couldn’t stop craving food.  Couldn’t get my GP at all .. receptionist asked if I would like to try something else and I said yeah that’s why I’m calling to try speak to Gp! So I stopped Hrt four weeks ago cold turkey and have my Gp app 29th… really what I wanted to ask was is there anyone else similar on one type Hrt and better on another ? I don’t want to risk the symptoms again it was pretty awful and since I’ve stopped Elleste the weight has fallen off and I still eat lots just don’t crave the way I was.  Flushes are back and my hair is shedding like crazy and the tiredness is back so I really do need something .. with the Gp app probably going to be 5 mins it’s going to be hard to explain all this … thank you for reading xx

Hello Julie. HRT is such a personal thing in the sense each person will do better on different ones. For example, some one type and for others it makes them feel bad. I think it is trying until you find one that suits you.

How’d you get on Julie04?
I’ve only just saw this post, and was going to say, try Femoston it’s got a gentler progesterone in it.
I’ve not put weight on from it, so worth a try.
