Hi all,
sorry for another post.
I was just wondering can you cut estraderm patches in half, as I thought I read some patches you are not able to cut.
My sleep pattern which had resolved since starting HRT on 25th August, ended abruptly last night. I'm wondering if I need to increase my estraderm 25mcg patch by sticking another half a patch on.
Could I cut in in half? if yes can I just do this myself or would I need speak to my GP about this.
I just feel I do need more estrogen and 25 mcg is not a great amount, however I also do not want to mess up my hormones even more by adding more estrogen too soon.
Any thoughts?
Thank you xxx

I have cut oestrogen patches in half before. They say to cut them diagonally not straight. I agree with your idea of increasingly slowly. Some people are sensitive to changes and this will mean less of a shock for your body.

Thanks Flossieteacake,
I don't know if it's estrogen that I need to increase or if i'm progesterone intolerant.
I just feel I've gone back to square one with my sleeping. It made me practically suicidal the last time.
I've been great since starting the HRT so something has gone wrong

It can be so hard to know. I am really sorry it has caused this affect on your mood and sleep.

I've answered your other thread. One night of no sleep doesn't mean that this is a pattern. I used to lay awake to see if I'd been asleep ::) and as I mentioned elsewhere, had coping methods.
