After months of sufferings, flushes, mood swings and lots of tears I finally went to GP and got prescribed HRT EVOREL SEQUI patch and vaginal pessary. Only problem I’m having is that the patches falling off due to sweats 😰😰😰 I actually feel as though I’m going to properly loose the plot ….help!!! Am I using wrong should I put extra tape over them…. Should I put in a certain area on body (tried tummy and top of thigh) any advice would be amazing ladies

Hi! it's a catch 22 with sweats and patches ::). I think the advice is to dry the area of application really really well, slap a patch on then hold. I believe some use micropore on the edges if that doesn't work, the point is to make sure that the middle is against the skin.
What's the pessary? I don't take HRT so it's all a muddle to me ::)
Browse round. Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use. :welcomemm:

Hello Dazl20. Welcome to the forum. Firstly, I just wanted to say well done for going to your GP and not suffering in silence. I know how hard it can be to ask for HRT. I use Tegaderm dressings over my patches. I find my lower back seems to be the best place to put them. I hope this works for you too.

Pessary is vagifem. Insert into vagina
I’ll give the tegiderm a go! Was feeling positive but if they can’t stay on not going to get any relief 😰😰😰

Hopefully the Tegaderm will get the patches to stick. Just a tip, you may want to put some lube or vaginal moisturiser on the vagifem applicator. Something like Yes or Sylk is gentle.

That's good that your vaginal atrophy is being treated too.

I started off sticking them on my thigh, but like you I discovered that my thighs sweat when having a flush. I now put them on the top of my bum, lower back area and they stick fine, that seems to be the only part of my body that doesn't sweat when I'm flushing!

Oh well another patch off so GP going to look into other options as not keen on hrt tablets

Did you try the patch with Tegaderm on your lower back?
-
Yes it was off before lunch time. I put on going to bed and it was fine until next day :(
-
How long do you hold it in place for? Have you tried a warm hairdryer on it?

How annoying. I find I have to put a big patch or 2 smaller ones and overlap them. I try to cover some skin as well as the patch. If you have already tried this then not to worry, many are on gel and prefer that as they can adjust it accordingly.

I’ve just started Everol Sequi, I stick it to my backside and it stays there, how ever I’ve just had my first bleed since taking it and the PMT symptoms are terrible, especially the rage, anyone else get this. I’m not sure if continue on it if I was like this every month!
