Title: Urethral discomfort
Post by: Wrennypenny on September 09, 2022, 12:16:58 PM
I was prescribed ovestin cream last November for urinary symptoms. Although I had feelings of a urinary tract infection, constant unpleasant urge to pee, my MSU was negative on 3 occasions, and I luckily do not experience pain whilst passing urine. Initially the ovestin worked for 3 months, the symptoms have since returned, does anyone else have similar symptoms? Urethral discomfort but no pain when passing urine. Thanks

Morning.  Did U stop the treatment?

I would suggest that you pop a dose up there now followed by every night for the next 2/3 weeks.  When the need2P happens I take 'nurofen' capsules 3 times a day to ease the 'nip' as the urine shuts off.

One can put the 'ovestin' around the outer labial areas to keep it from becoming itchy.

If the Ovestin worked then stay with it. If you are suffering with Vaginal Atrophy you will need treatment for life.
