Hi Ladies
I’m post menopause 10 years only use vegifem
My skin on whole body is driving me crazy
If it’s not itching it’s hot, like my blood is on fire
Does anyone/can you take HRT for this problem, I get so irritable with it and at night it’s taking me hours to settle till I finally drop off because my blood feels on fire under my skin .
I have warm showers, finished with 2 mins cold water.
Gave practically tried all moisturiser on the shelf over time. Gp as also given a few.
So ladies
Does HRT work for this problem?
And if so which one do you have. Or suggest.
Never tried any HRT and I’m a little scared as I’ve been through a lots of anxiety & depression over last 40 yrs and any S/E of HRT will probably send me into panic
Anyone with this problem

Hello Dane. I had the worst itchy skin ever. Inside my nose, ears, everywhere. I found it stopped when I started HRT. I believe it is caused by a lack of oestrogen.
I understand you are nervous to try HRT. I think the only way you will know if it suits you is by giving it a go. Maybe it would help to tell yourself you can stop it if you do not like it?
A menopause specialist will be best for recommending you the right HRT for you as everybody is different.
I think you said you are in France? I know in countries outside the UK they have specialists rather then a GP like we have here.

I am sorry for thinking you were in France. My memory is terrible!
I hope your DR is approachable and you can make an appointment with them to talk about HRT.

As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry: inside and out >:(
Keep up with the vagifem. E45 I believe might help as will swallowing an anti-histamine however, this may cause drowsiness.
