Title: Estrogel pump - doesit matter where in cycle I start to take it?
Post by: WingNut on August 24, 2022, 01:37:54 PM
Hi All
New here today - this seems to be the most helpful source of information and I am going mad just trying to work out when I should start taking the estrogel that has been prescribed  (I already have a mirena coil in place).

I picked up the prescription yesterday and I have the pump gel.  I was having very light semi regular periods until about 8 weeks ago - nothing since.  I was going to start the gel this morning and I have had some very light spotting which made me wonder if there is a timeframe which I need to adhere to - I have read the leaflet back to front - nothing.

Does it matter?  Thanks is advance.

Hi and welcome.

As you’ve got the Mirena coil in place, you can start the Oestrogel straightaway. x

Hi WingNut. I agree with Dotty. If you scroll down to Initiation of Treatment this says you can start at any time https://emc-prod-wa.azurewebsites.net/emc/product/353/smpc#gref
