When first in peri, aged late 40s, for 4-6 months I had flushing from my neck to the waist down my back after my bath. I would also itch down my back, insteps and legs.
About 5 years ago my GP diagnosed vaginal atrophy and appropriate treatment keeps symptoms at bay.
4 me restless leg syndrome is cured by eating bananas daily or taking Nurofen at night.
The anti-depressant medication causes busy, involved, long dreams which leave me very tired, sometimes for a whole day. From age 3 I have suffered panic attacks to varying degrees, treated in the 1990s with valium - 10mg twice a day, then 5mg on an as-necessary basis. Now I have emergency meds to use when anxiety floors me.
In hindsight I wonder if the increase in anxiety attacks and dreadful nausea was a result of hormonal upheaval but it never crossed my mind. I was aware of The Change which I knew was the end of monthly periods and might be a few hot flushes. Yeah! Not!
Anxiety is controlled by being spontaneous: any thoughts of planning a holiday causes immediate anxiety surges.

Some of the antidepressants I have taken gave me similar dreams. It is a horrid side effect as it will leave you exhausted.
I can see why you think some of the symptoms may have been hormonal especially the itching after having a bath.

Morning. I know that I have been extremely lucky in not suffering continual symptoms, none of which lasted for more than 12 months.
I had tremendously bad periods: intense pains plus heavy clotting. So relieved that peri didn't add to my distress.

Good morning. :) It is a relief peri did not add to your distress.

Occasionally I wake in the night with one heel rubbing the instep of the opposite foot ::).

Could lack of oestrogen be making you itchy?

It may well be, intermittently. No periods since I can't remember when, probably 15+ years. No problems in the night or today. Fortunately.
I put Nivea sun screen on yesterday which helped sooth the area a lot. This morning I found 3 more bites >:( but not near the itchy areas of yesterday.

I wonder if an emollient may be a bit more moisturising for you? I find it helpful to wash with E45 cream and then apply some after my shower. Bites are horrid. I have some mozzie bites. They really itch!

Antisan helps any bites.
I'll think about the E45, it was recommended for Dad as he aged when his skin became thin.

It is worth a try. You could get a little tube to test it. Thank you for the tip. :)

I have been bitten alive this year by mosquitoes this year and they have been so kind to give me a nice symmetrical pattern on my back!

They are a nightmare! Do you have one of those light zapper things? I keep one in the kitchen.

Do you think this might be Christmas Tree Rash ? I had a distinct symmetrical patterned rash on my back years ago which the GP said was a common virus commonly known as Christmas Tree Rash.

NHS - Pityriasis rosea
Pityriasis rosea is a relatively common skin condition that causes a temporary rash of raised red scaly patches on the body.
It can affect anyone, but it's more common in older children and young adults (aged 10 to 35).
Symptoms of pityriasis rosea
Feeling unwell
Some people feel unwell for a few days before they get the rash, with symptoms such as a headache, high temperature and joint pain.
The herald patch - there follows a photo.
All through my younger days into my teens I had heat bumps. Large itchy areas, often where clothing sat. TCP was the order of the day :o :-X at times I was unable to wear a bra or underwear. It was thought that they were caused by too much sugar in my diet ........... but in the 1960/70/80s :-\
