Just went on Estradiol, the bottle is 85ml, if flying with hand luggage where only 50 ml allowed how do you get round this, thanks Carolyn
-
Hi medications don’t come into any of the limits x

The allowance is 100 ml

Whoops forgot it’s actually 100ml,
Dotty when you say they don’t come into limits the bottle is quite big considering you are only allowed I small clear bag, can I I have that in a separate clear bag. Thanks Carolyn

I’m interested to know too if it can be in a separate bag. I’ll be taking testosterone gel. I wonder if it sometimes depends upon the whim of individual security staff.

I travelled recently and took my gel . You can take up 100ml liquids x 10 in a plastic bag. If you can put the label with the prescription details found on the box of the gel onto the bottle itself, this is incase you get questioned what it is. I just put mine in the bag with the rest of the liquids, no questions were asked. It depends where you are travelling from to etc sometimes but I am sure you will be fine. I also put another bottle in my hold luggage incase it was confiscated and some patches just for extra precaution. Have a great holiday ladies. X

That’s my experience, I try to avoid one female security officer as she’s stroppy! I put my T/HRT in a separate clear bag with the prescription clearly in view.

Thanks Tora, am I correct in thinking I can take my HRT in a separate clear bag in addition to other liquids etc, otherwise it’s quite a big bottle when you have all other liquids, many thanks .

I put it in a separate clear bag to avoid staff stopping me and telling me to do that. I’ve travelled with Oestrogel and Testogel pumps which are quite big, I use 1 litre ziplock bags not the ones airline’s provide as they are small and often don’t close.
Have a lovely holiday!

Thanks Tora, not travelling yet just getting prepared , lol .We went to Palma a few weeks ago, I used the slightly larger clear bag , was told I wasn’t allowed anything other than airlines own and they actually binned a few of my toiletries. I’ve always taken Kliovance which is a tablet so have never had to think of this before. I’m 11 days in now on new HRT and no issues at all , can’t believe I’m going to get away with the change so easy. 🙏
