I started utrogestan tablets and estraderm patches 3 months ago. Don't feel any different. Doc upped the patches a couple of weeks ago to a higher dose. Tested me for testosterone levels, he said they're undetectable. Prescribed me testosterone gel but I'm having to get the prescription changed to get a different one due to shortages. I'm a bit worried. Trying to get my weight back down but it's got really hard to shift it since I started HRT. Now I'll be starting the new gel I'm worried I'm going to be a fat mess with a beard ! How have other people managed on this combination? Will I get hairy ? Will I have any energy?

Did you see a specified Menopause Consultant to get the testosterone prescribed?
Usually GPs don't prescribe ........
I am sure that others will be along who have experience but I don't think that you will put weight on nor will you become hairy ;-). I do have a thread however: My Chin!!!

Which symptom would you like to ease first?

Yes I'm in the uk. I think just having some energy, not feeling shattered and grotty all the time would be great lol

Since May 31st, gps in some areas have been allowed to prescribe testosterone for women. It’s a postcode lottery though. I’m lucky enough to live in a county which got given the green light.
