Title: Reccurance of hot flashes
Post by: C.C. on July 23, 2022, 11:52:54 PM
I'm 4 years postmeno. During that time, hot flashes weren't really an issue.  About a week ago, I had one, surprised me to say the least. But now they are coming more frequently and I'm wondering what is going on.  They can come on at any time, after I drink tea, dealing with this hot weather, or just because.  It's annoying! I'm on Premarin .5mgs twice a week.

Morning.  Would an occasional increase ease symptoms?  MayB put the product name into the search box to see if any threads are there?

Occasionally ovaries can over ride HRT  >:( ::)

Morning!   I don't know if an increase would help, my dr said the hormones in the cream don't enter the bloodstream.  I specifically asked about that when he prescribed it, bc of my family history.  Maybe I will call the office and ask if they can find out.

Hi C.C. it's strange how we can be plodding along & then it goes belly up like this isn't it?
Maybe you are having a bit more stress - you new puppy possibly  :scottie: + the warmer weather overt there in Canada.
I'd be inclined to try & go another couple of weeks to see if it's just a blip & as CLKD always says "keep a mood/food diary"  ;)
Love Cazikins x

I do wonder if it's added anxiety = flushes when perhaps you would have slept through them but now have 1-ear out for Maggie?

MayB buy a cool mat; I'm sure that she will share ;-)

That's what I'm thinking, the lack of sleep and the stress has triggered them, then add in the pup, I guess things went into overload. I didn't have more than one yesterday so that was good. I will monitor for the next week or so and see if they get any worse.
I slept with the bedroom window open last night because it cooled right down to about 14 degrees, and that helped with the night sweats. I woke up to take pup out around 4 am and I was under the covers.

Thanks ladies  :)
