Post by: lisa06031510 on June 29, 2022, 04:31:37 PM
Hi ya,

My bones hurt soooo much... Can anyone recommend anything that helps with the pain? I can use deep heat... And I've tried Paracetamol and Narproxeon

As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  The body may become dry: inside and out  :o

Is the pain continuous, does it keep you awake at night?  Do U exercise at all?

I have bursitis in the R hip down the leg as well as sciatica  >:(,  Nurofen helps.  MayB have a word with a Pharmacist to see what you can take, how often and with what other meds..

I had achy bones when I first started menopause.. 2 and half years ago but it went and had now come back soooo bad... All down my right side...

I work nights and my job is very physical so not very practical for me to get this symptom back.... I will pop to the chemist tomorrow

Let us know how you get on.  Have you been trained to lift correctly etc.? Your employer has a Duty of Care.

Yeah, it's not so much lifting... It's more active where I'm.constantly running about... It has helped lose some of the menopause pounds lol

Have you thought about taking pain relief prior to doing anything strenuous so that it kicks in which may ease aches and pains?

I’ve found a mix of gentle weight baring exercises alongside raising my oestrogen patch is v slowly helping.

It’s taking time though, I’m 5 weeks in and it’s only really been the last two weeks I’ve noticed much difference.

Magnesium helped a lot, taking mag glycinate and spraying mag spray (can make you’re own which is cheaper. )

Are you on testosterone? That’s supposed to be really good for muscles and bones and joint pains.

Mine have got much better on it.

Be careful of co-codamol etc., it shouldn't be used long term.

I'm in sooo much pain today... My legs feel like they have given up and even my neck hurts.

I haven't got a Dr appointment til the 6thbif July to discuss upping my HRT.

Is this normal for bones to feel this sore!? Or should I be worried!!

I would ring to see what pain relief etc. you should be taking.
