I only joined this forum today. I am thinking of starting HRT and have no family or nearby friends to confide in or ask for support. I am hoping to find a supportive community who will be patient with me as I learn about something new!

Welcome to the forum Belinda.
I joined in January of this year and the ladies here have been the most fabulous support. Don’t be afraid to ask anything. There will always be someone who can help you

Welcome from me. Browse round. Make notes.
Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary is useful. To chart progress.

Thank you all kind souls. I believe I am post-menopausal (the doctor seems to concur) and I am considering HRT for the first time. My own mother (who is in any case in another hemisphere and therefore harder to communicate with) did not have HRT because she had experienced cancer early in her life. I don't really have anyone in this country to go to for advice so I'm looking for people to share their own concerns, experiences and choices. Not to tell me what to do, but to help me to clarify in my own mind what I want.
