Not this year CKLD!

As we live in the area we used to go on the Sunday with the locals ticket.

Just been into Wells, big sign up in shop saying ‘Get your Wellies for Glastonbury here’  ;D

Actually Wells was rather sad today. It’s market day and usually it’s full of people.
This time of year it’s full of American and Japanese tourists and the income they bring to the small cathedral town is huge, but today they weren’t there.

The market stalls started calling it a day pretty early, I doubt they covered expenses.

Glastonbury only a few miles away but might a well be a different planet somehow.  X

Many++ years ago we drove in and couldn't find a parking space, we planned to walk the dog to the Tor and back  :-\. At least we avoided the alternative remedies etc..  We love Wells  ;)

No not this year sadly😢Could not get hold of tickets. Have been before and loved it! Although it is a lot bigger than before with more stages. It is like a city when you are there, it’s magical.

Apparently a sewage pipe burst and sprayed around people in the area where the stars stay. When I was there it was hot, lots of burnt bodies, the toilets are a delight😳 I think I held on for four days without going into detail. I washed my hair with bottle of water and shampoo. You get caught up in the magic of it all. Now though I am not so sure if I could stand and walk for so long but I would go again one day.

Any1?  Jo Whiley seems to have lost her voice already  ::).  Not a venue that I would consider, ever.  I've done smaller Festivals until they became too large, from 10,000 to 22,000 over a few years.  NOPE.

At least thus far it looks sunny at Glasto.

You have to be lucky to get a ticket! Watching it on TV. Sad that my favourite Frank Turner wasn't shown though. Will just have to wait till next month in Southampton which I'm looking forward to! Friends are having a fab time and keeping me updated. Not sure I could afford it nowadays! Enjoyed Fontaines DC last night. I thought they put on a good show. Watched a bit of Dua Lipa but not my favourite type of music
