Hi all. For the first time today i had brown discharge on my underwear. I'm 51 and possibly post menopause but not sure as Ive been using the Mirena coil for approx 10 years now and havent had a period for approximately 9 years. I am using Evorel 100 patches. I am due for a coil change as its been 4 years since my last and just waiting for an appointment with the local clinic. I will be calling my GP on Monday but do you think its happened possibly because of the high dose HRT and my progesterone is now running low?

The coil is licenced to be used for 5 years for HRT purposes, so it should still be okay. Best to call your doctor and get referred for an ultrasound scan just to check your womb lining isn't getting too thick and your Mirena is still in place.
