Hi all,
My libido is none existent and concentration levels are low. I’m going to get all hormones tested including testosterone in a couple of months but I’m fairly certain I’d like to try testosterone. Is there any real difference other than almond oil Vs alcohol with Androfemme Vs Testim/Testogel? Are they both body identical? I don’t see the point of paying a premium for Androfemme if the key ingredient of testosterone is the same? Any advice anyone?
Thanks all x

Pretty sure the vast majority of us taking testosterone in this group don't take Androfemme. As far as I am aware there is no difference at all other than easier to get the exact dosage with Androfemme. Also it seems some who use Androfemme have now swapped over to testim because of not absorbing properly. I use testim, and very happy. Private Meno docs make more money from Androfemme.

And yes key ingredient is exactly the same

I’ve tried Androfeme, Testogel, Testim and Androgel. Prefer Testogel. All body identical.

Thank you all so much for responding ladies, this is extremely helpful and what I logically thought would be the case in terms of Androfemme just being more expensive!
-
To add the other option, there is also Tostran which iVe had for about a month now.
It is in a pump action pack which makes it easy to use and measure. I take 1 pump (large pea sized amount) every other days and the pump pack will last about 8 months.

That’s really helpful & interesting CW, sounds like Trostram is easier to use as I think the others come in sachets and you have to judge it yourself……
Are we supposed to take Testosterone every other day then? I thought it was daily? I was on Testim a few years ago (need it again), & it was quite hard to get the correct amount but I thought I was told to use it daily but could be mistaken as it’s a while ago now!

I take Testogel. Whatever you choose, my advice is to google it and look at the other ingredients in it besides the testosterone. AndroFemme has parabens and hydroxybenzoates. Which are endocrine disruptors and really not nice things to be putting on yourself to get absorbed every day for the rest of your life, IMO. I appreciate other people might not care about that, but just in case anyone does...
I researched all the options and Testogel seemed to be the best in terms of the other ingredients. It's also much cheaper than AndroFemme and I kinda object to womens' things that cost more than mens' when it's the exact same product(!!). ;D Plus they only need one hormone and we've got three to pay for!

Hi ladies. I started Androfem in November last year and gradually increased to 1ml, after 7 months not working, confirmed by blood tests my results had got worse, changed to Testim yesterday which come in a tube so just got to get the dosage right. Really hoping it helps. Applying to outer thighs, any other options as that’s where I applied the Androfem so maybe need to change the area too? Xx

I do back of knees x

Top of foot for me. Sometimes do inner thighs for a change.

I didn’t realise that about androfem (that it has parabens and hydroxobenzoates), I always wanted to try it don’t think I’ll bother now.
I couldn’t use testogel as I had a reaction to it but am fine with testim. Use it 3 x per week on the inside of my knees, I used to put it underneath my foot but find this better x

Good point about additional ingredients Joziel & quite agree about the female tax issue we are asked to pay for testosterone for Androfemme! I’ve tried both Testim & Trostran in the past with no issues but was curious about this new Androfemme doing the rounds. My suspicions have been confirmed. Nothing wrong with Androfemme btw for anyone on it & getting good results, I’m just not prepared to pay an extra premium for it being more ‘female’ suitable when really it’s probably a marketing ploy to pay more for essentially the same thing as the ‘male’ versions….

Ooh back of knees I never would have thought of there 😄 is it better applied to a non fatty area then? Sorry for the questions I am just willing it to work xx
-
If it helps I did tell a bit of a porky to my doctor so she would prescribe Testogel and not AndroFemme ;D
I felt bad saying that I didn't like the look of the ingredients ;D so I told a little white lie and said it had made me come out in a rash and that I could be sensitive to some cosmetics and I'd checked the ingredients in Testogel and they should be fine for me. Worked great!
I do have a spare tube of AndroFemme in the cupboard now which I should probably sell on the black market for hundreds at the moment ;D

Flan747 unfortunately for me I’ve developed a wedge of fat on the inside of my knees (wasn’t there 10 years ago 😔) and I apply it to that. I don’t know if it’s my imagination but I think having a bit of fat there helps prevent side effects x
-
So happy to hear it works for you Joziel, I’m keeping everything crossed🤞 Maybe I will try my buttocks that has alot of fatty bits 😄 xx
-
I apply Androgel to the upper outer part of my buttocks, alternate left and right, daily application.
