Title: Anyone taking Provera continuously? What dosage?

Hi, anyone taking Provera continuously? If so, what dosage is it please, 2.5mg, 5mg? Are there any side effects?
I'm thinking of switching from Utrogestan to Provera. Thanks!

Either 2.5 or 5 mg daily - and this will depend on your oestrogen dose and whether you have any bleeding. Rule of thumb would be higher doses of oestrogen require correspondingly higher doses of progestogen to protect the womb lining.

Sorry can't help with side effects. From reading on here I know some women tolerate it well....most progestogens have some side effects though but hopefully these will settle, if so. Why not give it a try?

Hi Cherry. I take Provera continuously , 5 mg daily with a 50mcg patch. No side effects at all x

Hi Cherry. I’ve just reverted back to Femoston conti as I was having nausea and bloating from the higher estrogen dose I was on, however, when I was taking Provera I took it at night. Def helped me sleep x

Flora, does the femeston Conti keep any potential bladder issues at bay for you? I liked this HRT but it just wasn’t enough Oestrogen and bladder went awol.

Do you know what the  patch equivalent of  FC is by any chance ? X

Nas - if you look here it gives the approx average dosage of each preparation in terms of low medium and high - it is not an exact science because women may absorb differently from the different delivery methods:

Hi Nas. The Femoston conti on its own isn’t enough now to keep bladder/ VA issues under control but I’m fine with the Femoston together with an every other day Vagifem. X
