Title: Mirena Coil
Post by: Millie1 on June 06, 2022, 07:26:13 PM
Hi ladies.  Does the Mirena coil need changing every 3 or 5 years?  I've googled it but it says depends on brand.  I have no idea.  The card I was given when I had the coil just says date of insertion which was June 2020.   Thanks.

I just had mine fitted and my consultant said 4 years if it is fitted for menopause symptoms.

I've had them for 5 years previously when it was for birth control.
