Title: what does this blood test mean?
Post by: joziel on June 05, 2022, 03:09:24 PM
I got my bloods tested a couple of weeks ago when I was on the 50 patch and testosterone. I just want to check what something means... The results were:

Estradiol 233nmol
Converted estradiol 63pg/ml

Testosterone 2.2nmol

Testosterone/SHBG 3.2%

So the bit I don't quite understand, is the 'converted estradiol'? I'm assuming that is my body converting some of this testosterone into estrogen, because the testosterone is pretty healthy there and the estrogen is still a bit low? Is that right?

So does that mean that I 'really' had 233 + 63 = 296 estrogen - because I add in what my body converted from testosterone? Although - no - converted estradiol is in pg/ml and not nmol...  ???

Help.  :o

Since that I have increased patch and reduced testosterone slightly.

Anyone?! I've got a review on WEds anyway but was just curious before that!
