Title: Can I switch back to Oestrogel
Post by: Skylark on June 04, 2022, 01:21:49 PM
Hey ladies,  I posted a few days ago. Started on Oestrogel with Mirena then was switched to Sandrena 1mg when Oestrogel out of stock. I liked how Sandrena made me feel but have constantly sore breasts and the spotting is back. GP has reduced my dose to 500 mcg but now Sandrena out of stock. Oestrogel now freely available. I'm so fed up.  I have an unopened pump of Oestrogel. Can I safely switch back and reduce to one pump? Then ask for my script to be changed back?

X

Yes, I would think that’s fine xx

Thank you, Dotty. Is one sachet of Sandrena to one pump of Oestrogel too big a reduction? X

One pump of Oestrogel is roughly equivalent to half a sachet of the 1mg Sandrena but you might absorb it differently. Try it and see
