Title: Utrogestan, changing from vaginal application to oral route
Post by: Meno44 on June 01, 2022, 09:26:19 PM

I’ve been taking Utrogestan for about 5 months now. For the first 2 days I took it orally but felt terribly sick. I’ve since taking it vaginally and feel better.

Im now wanting to change back to taking orally as I find the vaginal route quite messy.

Has anyone done this? Im just wondering if now my body is used to it, taking orally won’t have the same side effects?

Side effects usually settle if you persevere for several weeks. I know (first hand) it is really hard to do this because you just want to stop the side effects and change something, but then you never give your body a chance to adjust.

2 days would be far too early to know if you could have settled with the utrogestan orally. It's fine to switch back but I'd give it several weeks at least before deciding it it's suiting you.

Worth a try but perhaps more in hope than expectation.
