Title: HRT for Premature ovarian failure
Post by: carolinesmith1972 on May 13, 2022, 09:11:48 PM
Hi everyone, So I had an early menopause at 38 (Premature ovarian failure) and I'm on HRT. They've said I have to come off it at 51 (next year). I really don't want to, I love my HRT.  Can I take it for longer?

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Of course you don't have to come off HRT at 51, or any other age! That is outdated advice and you can stay on forever. Transdermal oestrogen and body identical  progesterone is usually advised, rather than oral oestrogen, in later life.
