Title: Is Putting Cream Outside Better Than Inside?
Post by: Pixielilac on May 12, 2022, 04:59:06 PM
I’m sure I have read on here somewhere that putting Ovestin on the outside bits is more beneficial than putting it inside because there are more estrogel receptors on the outside bits, or have I got that wrong? Done a search but can’t find anything, probably read it wrong knowing me lol.

By outside do you mean the vulva? If so, I am not sure if there is any benefit in that. I have not tried that myself. I fear I would run out too quickly. ;D

If you are only using Ovestin and nothing else then using it only on the ‘outside’ is unlikely to give sufficient relief of genitourinary symptoms. If you are using say Vagifem pessaries as well then yes good idea to use Ovestin o; the outer areas.

If you are using the applicator just use your finger to rub a little on the outside part. lt's all beneficial!

I think I must  have mis-read something   ;D I am using Ovestin internally at night and a bit on the outside during the day.

Yes that's fine.  I use internally alternate nights and use a bit on the outside also.
