I should be on estrodot 50.
Due to patch shortages I’m mixing two 25s OR one and a half 37.5s as I had a lot left over. It’s 6.25 extra.
I’ve been noticing dips with either on the 4th day so am changing every 3 or 3.5 days.
Except that I’m absolutely certain now that I feel a tiny bit better on the 56.25.
Could this be psychosomatic?! Or could this really be better for me?
(Or could be my hormones coincidentally fluctuating.)
I’m really hoping to go up at next review but she wanted to do a blood test first. I’m also dropping my thyroxine level slightly so there could be other things going on.

It's perfectly possible you feel better on a slightly higher dose. Some people find they feel best somewhere between 2 patch strengths and cut one down to get their ideal level. It's easier to adjust by small amounts using gel but you can still do it with patches.

Thanks for your reply, I’m convinced it’s not in my head and have been using higher during the working half of the week - and still feel better.

Hi
I could only get 50 patches instead of 100 the other day. The pharmacist wasn't keen to give me them as she said it does work/absorb in the same way as a higher amount

Ok thanks, that’s interesting. Review next Monday; a blood test showed low oestrogen

Totally possible that you need a bit extra, if you keep a detailed diary it can help you to figure out this sort of thing.

It was marked borderline low so I’m not surprised I’m clinging on to every tiny amount!

I doubt if it's in your head as such, simply good observation. Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use.
