I had issue with sequi regime :
Hairloss/shedding triggered as soon I start the oestrogen only part.
So far I tried Femoston 2/10
Oestrogel /utrogestan (hairloss and a lot of crying and anxiety with 1. -2 pumps).
The ladies who had hairloss issue with oestrogen I would like to know if some of you had tried Tibolone.
Before starting hrt I had no hairloss ever, even during IVF traitment (huge amount of oestrogen amount in blood with oestrdiol 2mg tablet used vaginaly because the lining of uterus was not thick) and Provera shot.
Sorry, its confusing but english is not my native langage.
Thanks
Dada

Hi Dada. Il9st so much hair during my 18 months on oestrogen I now have a collection of wigs!
I've been off hrt for 6 months but have bladder problems and severe VA so I have been on Tibolone for the past month. It seems to really aggravate hay fever, and it's bloating me big style, but no other side effects.
Hair has recovered a lot, thank god. It does not fall out on Tibolone.
-
It also makes me feel stronger mentally. I had terrible mood swings on oestrogel. And found Evorel 50 patches made me very depressed.
-
Hi CherymrySg,
Many thanks for your reply ! I m glad you are feeling well on Tibolone, we talked in september by message !
We exchanged about hairloss and oestrogen maybe caused by histamine !
You are having hayfever, another histamine intolerance It might be but at least you are not losing your hair!
I would like to feel stronger like you do.
My new gyny prescribed me low dose patches but i m scared to feel depressed and losing my hair again. (I feel drepressed on low dose but losing so much hair on 2mg).
I lost my sleep, since last october after having losing weight. It's horrible. A'd I had progestérone withdrawl : I was in a black hole of bad and negative thoughs during 2 weeks
I cannot find a gyne to prescribe me Tibolone.
-
Thank you again Cherrysg, I feel like crying brcause you kindly reply and you didn't have too. I feel less alone, it's really difficult i l exausted and nobody to talk to about (i mean when i was in a dark place my Friends and family were there but i cannot talk only about my lack of hormone issue all the times so i decided to stop).
-
You both have us gals to talk to whenever you want.
Families are so lovely but they can’t understand when they’re not going through it themselves.
Keep talking, it’s normal for us MM ladies! xxx
-
Thank you marchlove! I found you the MM a good community (English is not even my native language and i don't live in the Uk but I love the Uk people!!)
-
Hi again Dada
Do they have menopause clinics where you live? Or perhaps an endocrinologist might be more sympathetic? xx
-
Hi Marchlove, there is one menaupose clinic in the coutry and its like on the other side of the country in an hospital and 1 year list long.i have consulted and endocrinologist, he didnt listend to me, jist gave le hrt, it didnt suit me. He is like way after retirement time, a famous doctor you knwow the old school one. I would like to try Tibolone but my new gyne doesn't prescribe it to his patients.
-
See if you can research who in your country might prescribe it.
Ask on Facebook etc. If it’s available in your country, someone must prescribe it!
Are you in France? x
-
Thank marchlove. Yes I am in France. I am o' a french facebook group about POF. There is a lady who taked it, I will ask her, that's a good idea. Hopefully her doc is not far away, aroud Paris area.
-
Best of luck, let us know how you get on xxx
-
Another thought Dada, is that there are a few MM members living in France.
If you start a new thread called Tibolone in France, you might get some response. xx

Hi everyone! Just to update on my Tibolone experience.
So all was well at first - improved mental health and no hair loss....I'm about 7 weeks in now and there is more hair left in the sink when I wash it. This is what happened to me on Oestrogel, but bizarrely I did not have it on the patches.
Oestrogel - mood swings and hair loss
Tibolone - no anxiety but seem to have a low mood developing lately, and hair loss
Evorel patches - no anxiety, no hairloss, SO depressed and low-feeling
I'm going to have to see a private menopause specialist, but cannot change anything yet as on holiday next week. Daren't stop the Tib. as bladder/VA issues will be worse, so hair will have to fall out in the meantime.
Dada it's nice to see you back! I do hope you get access to a decent menopause doctor soon. Since we seem to have similar issues with HRT (allergies, hairloss, depression) and I'm starting to have the same experience on Tibolone, I'm not sure it will be the answer for either of us. Although maybe it's adding the new hormones that is causing this, and hairloss will settle down. :-\

Hi Marchlove,
Great suggestion !! I didn't think about it!

Hi CherymrySg,
Thank you for the message and the report.I m so sorry for what is happening with Tibolone, is it possible that we catch a break or something please !
I was so happy for you! I just hope that it will settle hair wise and mood wise.
You didn't notice hairloss on the patches? That's interesting or maybe you used it a few weeks? For le thé hairloss on the oestrogel was lile 7 days after the first application, sale for the anxiety and crying.
I have some 0.025 of patches prescribed by my gyne but there is a shortage in France as they stopped producing the Vivelledot and a another brand. I was in Spain and I ordered some but the pharmacy was closed and I went back before i live...
I don't know if it i'll give it a go

Hi CherymrySg,
Did you have a good time during your vacation?
Did you continue taking Tibolone ?did the hairloss subside? How are feeling ?
