Title: Bleeding
Post by: Sandra W on April 02, 2022, 03:14:42 PM
Hi Ladies, some advice please. I have been on everol conti for 7 months now and have some very very light bleeds on and off and this is still happening. I had a scan last week and all was fine. The bleeding doesn't really bother me as the other benefits are huge especially my sleep but I am wondering whether I should take action to stop it happening. I don't want to change to gel as I didn't get on with progesterone pills but I have read that some women use 1 and a half patches to manage their hormones better. I am not sure I should try this without specialist advice. Does anyone else have similar issues or suggestions please? Many thanks x

If your meno symptoms are controlled on the current dose you shouldn't increase it. Are you definitely meno or could you be peri? If you're peri you're very likely to have breakthrough bleeding on a conti regime and you may be better on sequi. You can use an oestrogen only patch with a separate progestogen. The mirena is usually the best option to stop bleeding even if you're peri.

Thanks Sheila99 I am definitely meno not peri, I'm not keen on a mirena and am hoping to get things to work out with the patches as my symptoms have completely gone away & my sleep is great. I just wish I knew what to tweak to stop the bleeding.
