Hi
Does anyone know if this is related to perimenopause please?
Thanks.

I very much doubt it as I caught it from a man and then gave it to my husband and son! There are kits to cure it, if it’s only one nail affected. It’s quite hard work and takes a few weeks though!
No I just think it’s really contagious and very common. And very hard to get rid of sadly

Go to your local pharmacist for advice as well as finding out where the nearest chiropodist is. This will need a lot of specific treatment to get it under control.
How do you feel otherwise?

I did read on the menopause centre that fungus overgrowth can be part of menopause, but most people just assume it relates only to increased thrush infections, there is a link to clink on and it tells you the type of infections and toe nail was one of them....
I was just a bit surprised.
up and down. I came off HRT about 3 weeks ago, started bleeding 2 days later stopped but started to bleed again on Tuesday, so after 20 days from first bleed. Not sure what thats all about.
Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi, just a side thought, if your toes & nail beds are healthy but you just have white patches on your toenails it could be due to erosion from formaldehyde, found in nail varnish. There's some info out there on this & often overlooked.

Nail varnish ruined my nails :'( it took 4 months for them to recover >:(
If you have stopped HRT then your womb will cleanse itself. Without HRT my periods waxed and waned for several years ::)
Did U speak to a Pharmacist?
-
I did thank you, he said I should see my GP....so pending an appointment.
so as I have bled since coming off does that mean I am not yet in menopause?

Difficult when 1 is using HRT to know where 'we' might be in peri ......... ::)
Hopefully the GP Surgery won't ask for a zoom on your toe nail ;)
