Title: Hypoglycaemia
Post by: Honeybean on March 16, 2022, 09:04:10 PM
Does anyone that is not a diabetic suffer with hypoglycaemia?

I had it badly in my 20’s and then had it quite severely when expecting, I think it was called . hyperemesis. Then it calmed down and I have not really had many episodes in the last 20 years.

Anyway, I had a routine blood test last summer and the lab contacted my gp because they were very concerned about my blood sugar level which was 2.5.
Apparently that is very low. Although I know nothing about those kind of levels.

Anyway, I am getting low blood sugar every now and again but not all the time, just first thing in the morning.

I have been referred to Endocrinology but still waiting for appt.

Just wondering if anyone suffers with low blood sugar levels and if they’ve been diagnosed?

Thanks :)

Hi honeybeam. Hyperemesis is severe sickness and nausea during pregnancy but maybe this was brought on by your low blood sugar? I hope you soon get your appointment through so you can discover what's causing the hypoglycemia. Have you had advice as to how to prevent it?
