Hello, I have had a horrible reaction to the Fem 7 Conti patch and wondered if I should persevere or not? I was on Evorel Sequi and after a year of no periods and fast returning symptoms, I asked to try Fem7. The relief for the first 3 weeks was revolutionary and I was so pleased. Suddenly my body has started reacting to the patch and the skin where it touched and 5mm surrounding, swelled and blistered.
I took it off and tried another but the same happened. It has now triggered mast cell activation and I am reacting to so many triggers. I am two types of anti-histamine. I put back on an Evorel patch and I am trying to see my DR. Hs anyone had this reaction and it went away? I was so happy with the patches.

Stop. It's a reaction to the 'glue' probably.
Best not to use again. Book a 'phone call with your GP tomorrow.

Sadly this is an allergy to the FemSeven adhesive and I think this is mentioned in the leaflet. Could you try Evorel Conti if you got on ok with the sequi patches? Also, do you mean you had no periods/bleeds while on the sequi?

Yes I haven’t had a bleed for 12 months plus. I was on Sequi for 2 weeks and then Conti for 2. Initially I bled monthly but it stopped. The weeks on the Conti were not good though. Mood swings, exhaustion, evil night sweats.
