Title: Weaning off HRT
Post by: BeeBinny on March 04, 2022, 02:32:08 PM
Hi,
I have been on Estrogel & Prometrium for 2 years . Tend  to get side effects over periods of time, intermittently.

First a rash- explored all other options , went off both, cleared up.

Then breakthrough bleeding at the slightest Estrogel dosage change- did all the medical checks- now fine

Severe indigestion- medical
Checks - all clear

Super anxious, weird feelings of panic/anxiety at night - GP did test - new Estrogel product - helped for awhile

Now super tender breasts , tight feeling in chest , breathless- I feel ridiculous going back to GP to check out the next round of issues.

Weaning myself off now , alternate days , down to 1pump still taking 100mg prom.
As expected - break through bleeding , breast still tender , chest still tight -only been  6 days . Feeling super anxious and jittery- and health anxiety !!!

Just so over the up & down . HRT works for a couple of months - bam new side affect.

Feeling hopeless 😩- thought HRT had it sorted 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

MayB your HRT regime needed a hike?  Who prescribes it?  MayB ask for a referral to a dedicated NHS menopause clinic.
