Hello I'm just after some advice. I've had post menopausal bleeding before and after starting HRT last summer . I was advised to stop HRT and then have a mirena coil inserted and this happened 5 weeks ago and I had hysteroscopy and removal of a polyp. I've since also resumed oestrogel, 2 pumps a day. Yesterday I've started bleeding again, first one since September. Does anyone know if this is to be expected?

Hi Suze315
Sprry to hear about your HRT problems
I'm not clear from your post whether you've had the Mirena put in yet and the bleeding was following that?
Also what was the HRT you started last summer?
When you say you had post-menopausal bleeding before starting HRT does you mean you had been without natural periods for more than 12 months and then had a bleed out of the blue? How old are you - if under 50 sometimes ovulation can occur even after the 12 months has elapsed.
Just need to have a timeline of what happened when as I'm a bit confused at the moment - do you mean you stopped HRT after the bleeding last summer?
Hopefully if you answer the questions we'll be able to help you better :)
