Title: So anxious now!
Post by: Pinkwindsor21 on March 03, 2022, 11:51:46 AM
I’ve been posting a bit lately but my anxiety is going through the roof and I need to reach out.

I’m post menopausal and have been on patches continuously etc since March 2020.

I’ve got an internal scan on Sunday but my post menopausal bleeding (Hence the scan) has been 5 days now and is  dark brown. I’m also experiencing hip pain in both hips.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Brown blood is usually old, due to not having enough hormone to shed the womb lining all at once.  Good that you are getting a scan!

As oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  I remember that I have odd pains during the various parts of each month: down my thighs into the legs prior to a bleed.

Has pain relief helped at all?  Let us know how you get on.

Hi I’ve just gone through a few months of post menopausal bleeding. Had scans….external and internal….and a hysteroscopy .   Everything came back fine xxx

That's a long time if you are worried.  Who cancelled the appt., could you B seen at another Hospital?

The Gynae Dept at the hospital cancelled the appointments on the particular day that I was due to go.

I’ve asked my GP if I can go somewhere else but I’m expecting the answer to be no as the waiting time will be the same.

Is 4 weeks more waiting time acceptable?

Not under government guidelines.

Could you take a cancellation at short notice, if so, ring the Dept and let them know.

I’ve already waited from November…

That's not good enough.  Do ring the Dept and ask for a cancellation.  Write to your MP too, what happened to the 2-3 week window?  It mayB that there are staff shortages due to C-19, even so.

I’ve called and I’m on the cancellation list! Apparently people cancel all the time so hopefully I won’t need to wait for much longer!!!

Has anyone experienced hip pain in both hips?
