Evening
For the past few weeks I’ve felt shaky inside. I don’t feel anxious but it’s like an internal tremor.
Has anyone else suffered from this and any advice?
Thank you

Hi yes I used to get an internal tremor….felt awful x

Hi Nicola,
Yes, I get this too, it’s horrible! When I get it I usually take two Kalms tablets (a herbal remedy with Valerian root). I only use them during these attacks and one dose of two tablets is usually enough. Also lemon balm tea is very good for it. I hope you get some relief soon.
Best wishes,
Roo xx

I had it too, still do from time to time. It’s very common in meno. If you put internal tremor or vibration in SEARCH, you will find lots of us have experienced it.

Thanks ladies. I feel like I get every weird symptom going!
It’s an awful feeling and I’m struggling with it. I’ll give Kalms a try or I do have propranolol xx

Hello Nik2502
I agree with the other ladies, this internal shaking feeling is very common. My trusty meno book refers to it as well. Apparently it is the result of low oestrogen in the brain but the sensation is experienced in the abdomen or chest.
I am post meno and on HRT but I still have this problem sometimes. It is a horrible feeling and contributes to my anxiety. When it finally stops I always feel great relief!
I am sorry that I don't have any solutions for you but you are not alone and the horrible feeling does stop eventually.
Wishing you well.

Thank you Kathleen for your kind words.
It’s good to know I’m not alone as none of my friends have suffered anything similar and I thought I was going mad!
I understand exactly how you’re saying it contributes to your anxiety as that’s how I feel - like I’m permanently on edge.
Another lovely menopause symptom to contend with!

Hi all.
Can I ask if I am experiencing the same please? I only ask because I have had this 'weird' feeling for a long time now (years) but it happens when I am lying down in bed at night.
It feels like the bed is shaking slightly. I have a look around to make sure it isn't (why would it?! lol) but it seems to be emanating from me.
I never even thought it could be related to be perimenopausal but after seeing this thread I am now unsure. ???

Yes that’s exactly how I feel but all the time. It’s like all my organs are slightly vibrating. Feeling a little more reassured that I’m not alone! X

I get this a lot but always thought it was anxiety?
Can you have this feeling without it being linked to anxiety at all?
Another lovely symptom ::)

I don’t feel mentally anxious just physically. If that makes sense! X
