Title: Cerezette and Evorel Sequi (progesterone) help
Post by: Miss piggy on February 24, 2022, 02:47:13 PM
Hi all

Is there any one who is taking cerezette (desogestrel) progestogen only contraceptive pill plus evorel sequi (Estrogen and Progesterone)?

I appear to be feeling really low and losing a lot of sleep when on the progesterone patches. I feel very anxious and struggling to be positive,

I have other meds in the mix too which may not be helping but these are my two main concerns.

Thanks in advance

I'm not surprised, that's an awful lot if progesterone! Assuming you need contraception you could use an oestrogen only patch or gel with a mirena which will provide the progestogen for hrt as well as contraception. Or you could change to a contraceptive pill with oestrogen, I think zoely and qlaira are recommended.

Thank you.
Not needing it for contraception. Just stayed on it for years as easy without any periods!

I'm not on either of these things, but I used to be happily on cerazette.

More recently I went back on it in an attempt to control my perimeno symptoms and it was no longer a good fit.

Whilst it still helped physically, as in no periods, my mood was very poor and I got really bad pmt on it... With no period at the end.

Your body will have changed. And yes, that's a lot of progestin going in...
