Hi there.
I understand a high pressure job and peri menopause.....ex safeguarding nurse.
My advice is be kind to yourself and seek support through your Occupation Health Service.
Keep in touch

I feel for you. I’m the same. I think it is low oestrogen. You have to give it time to get in to your system. It will get better x

How were you moods during your menstruating years?
-
We are different. For me, I cry a lot more when my estrogen dosage is higher than when it is lower.
-
Hi I'm not sure if I'm getting too much at present...3 pumps I was told ...today I felt ok to be fair... bit teary at work (didn't cry though) x
-
MayB drop to 2 every night with 3 occasionally?
-
Yeah could do....food for thought thanks CLKD xx

Vicky usually best to start lower and build up as No1 your body gradually adjusts and 2 you know how much more or less is better for you. I’m post Meno but low Estrogen would have caused the crying spells! X

Thank you so much xx

Hia,
I think you are barking up the right tree Vicky.
I cry a lot when my Oestrogen is dipping before having a bleed most times, just like PMT was when I had periods.
Hang in there, it will get better I promise. Once you have the estrogen coursing through your body at the right levels it'll thank you for it.
Till then it's just a waiting game, so don't worry about it and cry if you want to, as the song says. :'( Noting wrong with a good sob in itself.

Hi Turkish delight
Thank you so much. Which HRT are you on and did it get rid of symptoms?, if so which symptoms? Xx
-
Hia Vicky,
I'm on Oestrogel and Utrogestan.
You tend to start low and work up until your symptoms are stable. Undesirable symptoms come from seesawing hormones, hormone fluctuation which happens most during peri. So starting at maybe 2 pumps, up to what works to keep your symptoms at bay but slowly so not to have a swinging pendulum effect.
We are all different so it's a lot of trial and error finding your own level and it is a moving target as you move through peri to post meno.
If I start getting hot flushes again, headaches, mood swings, insomnia, tearfulness, dry mouth and the rest, then I up my gel a small amount and wait a week or so to see the benefits.
