Hi All,
I know i originally posted one about me starting Femoston 2/10. However i had a consultation (second opinion) from D Studd's clinic in London yesterday from a Dr Watson. He told to come off the Femoston as this wasnt likely to "do much good" and wants me to start the Oestrogel three pumps along with Testosterone gel (pea size amount on my arm each day) and Progesterone tablets to start 1st April.
My question to you lovely ladies who are so knowledgeable on here.... is does this regime help with low mood and anxiety? This is my main symptom - ANXIETY about going out which i never had before. My confidence is really low too. I tremble at the thought of stepping outside to go to the shop or anywhere. I am only 41 just turned and was always a bubbly character. xx

Hi,
The problem with Hrt is that it isn’t an exact science. It’s trial, error and a bucket load of patience.
Did the consultant give a reason for coming off the femeston? It’s as good as any, except if it wasn’t working for you?
The regime you gave been put on, is a standard one.
Testosterone is usually prescribed once oestrogen levels are optimised, otherwise the t converts to oestrogen and you won’t feel the benefit.
Hopefully it will work for you. Anxiety is dreadful and by far one of the worst symptoms. It almost stopped me from driving!
Good luck 🤞🤞🤞🌸

Hi NAS
I had call from the PMS centre (consultation with a Dr Watson yesterday as i wanted a second opinion - probably due to my anxiety, and just wanting my life back)
He said that the tablets wont do much good (maybe because i told him how bad my anxiety is?) and he wants me to start the Oestrogel (3 pumps) and pea size amount testosterone, also progesterone tablets rom 1st April.
i had already booked in the private hormone blood test but he said at this point save your money, see how this regime works, if no better in a month we can do bloods to see where i am lacking)
The Doc is from a well established clinic (Professor Studd's clinic that i have heard so much about) so i am hopeful he got me on the right path. xx

Hi Vicky,
I don’t know anything about Femoston but the Oestrogel and Testosterone fixed my anxiety. I don’t know which one fixed it as I was taking 3 pumps of Oestrogel and a pea sized blob of Testogel. HRT effects us all differently so none of us know how much we’ll need or how long it’ll take to work or to what extent the fix will be!
Peri/Meno was a huge surprise (punch in the face!) for most of us as I’m sure you’ve discovered!
Good luck!
V :)
