Advice please. I've been on and off HRT patches, first Evorel conti and now Femseven conti for approx 14 months. before starting I was period free for 15 months. Bleeding started as expected but every 2 weeks and continued so. So stopped patches and bleeding stopped. restarted on Femseven conti and bleeding again every 2 weeks for 9/10 months. Stopped again and bleeding stopped. Have done an econsult with dr and given a few options but decided to go with restarting Femseven conti and taking a Utrogestan 100mg one a day. Had anybody else had this problem and taking this combination? Any advice welcome please. Hot flushes are my main problem.

Morning.
Hopefully someone will be along ....... how long did you continue on each regime before stopping?
Did either combo ease symptoms?
Browse round. :welcomemm:

Hi can you give us some more details about yrself ? How old are you ? You say you were 15 months without bleeding….during this time, we’re you taking any hormones in the form of hrt or birth control ?
Sorry for the questions but the answers might help us answer your questions xx

Hi. I'm 56 and both Evorel conti and Femseven conti stopped hot flushes day and night allowing me to sleep! but bleeding every fortnight was the problem because it didn't settle. I think I was on evorel for 5/6 months and then Femseven for about 10 months. Prior to starting HRT I was in the menopause for about 15 months not taking anything and struggling with the symptoms! I just wondered if anybody else has been prescribed continuous HRT patches with additional progesterone tablets in a bid to ease the bleeding and how they got on I've only just gone back on the patches (one week) and the progesterone 4 days, so bleeding has started yet, previously it's been two weeks in. Thanks for replying

Hi I haven’t any experience of this. You might be better using an oestrogen only patch with the Utrogestan x

Have you had a scan? It's possible you have a fibroid that's causing it. Usually utro is prescribed with oestrogen only patch (or gel or spray). If you still have problems it might be worth considering a mirena as this will normally sort out bleeding problems.
