Today I will be picking up my prescription for Oestrogel and Utrogestran. Starting at the lowest dose
Am I right in thinking that this will take over my natural cycles and give me a predictable bleed every month? Or will my natural cycle still come through?
I am still quite scared to start it and looking for some reassurance from you lovely ladies on here
My only symptoms at the moment are disturbed sleep, anxiety and changes in periods.
Sometimes I think it’s too soon to start HRT and other times I can’t wait. It’s all so confusing xx

Hello Curlygirl. I do not have experience with this type but I want to wish you lots of luck. I understand it is scary as you do not know what to expect. Do not forget, if you do not like this you can always stop it. It may make you feel lots better which would be wonderful.

As you have anxiety your fear will be great and I understand that. The HRT could reduce your anxiety which would be wonderful. You have nothing to loose. :)

Hi, I personally find that my own cycles override it each month. I just keep on taking the utrogestan as directed though.

Ps yes it is scary starting to take it! Sometimes you just have to take the plunge I think

Can’t tell you how nervous I am. Will have to try and not think about it. I’m hoping it may sort a few things out. Will have to wait and see.

My own cycle was always stronger than the hrt one so it's best to fit the hrt cycle around your own. Expecting your own cycle to fit into the hrt one didn't work for me (bleeding at any time of the month, sometimes twice in a month). I start counting again with the first day of my bleed as day 1.

Curlygirl I will be exactly the same as you. Positive thinking remember, in a few months you may feel like a new women. How amazing would that be.
