Title: Where does the endometrium go?
Post by: Tulip on January 21, 2022, 01:33:54 PM
When you're on continuous HRT?
I'm pretty well educated about bodies, but I'm an HRT virgin, and the endocrine system baffles me a lot, lol!
So if the oestrogen is building it up, and the progesterone is also taken continuously, what happens womb wise?

I stopped bothering google after a while.  :-\

Hi Tulip ! The progesterone is there to stop the lining building up from the effects of oestrogen. In non menopausal women it would cause a monthly bleed ,but if on continuous hopefully it shouldn't build up or be minimal ,so there isn't anything to shed ,if that makes sense .

If concerned would your GP offer a scan ? For peace of mind?
