I’ve been taking 200mg utrogeston continuously since Sept. I’ve got other health issues ongoing (still being investigated) but have been struggling with real fatigue/lack of any ‘oomph’ (if anyone knows what that means?!) - I’ve just been away with work and forgot to take utrogeston with me and do feel a little brighter (but that could be being away of course rather than reduction in utrogeston!) but I am thinking about cutting down to 100mg to see what happens as I’ve been reading about utrogeston and fatigue. Dr is keen for me to stay on 200mg as bloods in December showed good rates of progesterone at this dose but I’m desperate to feel better in any way possible (as I said lots of other things going on too but maybe this is one thing I can control?) - does anyone have any experience of feeling fatigued on utrogeston? Or cutting down dose and hope that felt? Any/all replies really very gratefully received!!!

Yes, it's a common side effect. Why are you on 200mg continuosly? The dose is normally 100mg for conti or 200mg for 12 days if used as a sequi regime.

Prescribed after a blood test which showed only just ok levels of progesterone on my ‘on’ sequential days (so should have been higher as was taking it on the day my bloods were taken - if that makes sense?)…I’ve never felt 100% sure it was the right thing to do but lots of other symptoms resolved/improved after changing my regime on this doctors advice (menopause specialist) after months of struggling…I suppose the few days of not taking it have made me reconsider?
