Good morning ,
I am hoping somebody can clarify this for me.
I have received a letter and text saying that i am now due a smear test .
My question is : when on conti hrt regime is there an ideal or best time to have it ?
I guess having it done its still very important in meno ?
I found quite uncomfortable in the past .
At the moment it’s difficult to book a date as in my first 3 months of hrt and experiencing unpredictable bleeding incidents that have lasted 2days but last one was heavier and lasted 5 days.

Hi sfifties,it looks like your post was missed unfortunately. I would say probably get it during the first two weeks of patches only ,as bleeding in last 2 weeks of progesterone could affect result, but could always ask the practise nurse for advice ? Hope this helps x

Hi if you are on a Conti regime then , in theory , every day should be the same so there isn’t a best time to have the test. However, if you are bleeding then this may cause problems. x
