I am investigating sending off my old candles, no longer required, to a company in Exeter. They melt down and recycle the wax as well as recycling the glass/metal containers so one doesn't have to bother about separating those.
Hopefully we will get to Devon soon - I have several friends to visit so can make a trip to Exeter with my stash. In the Bath area is a drop off point but I can't find anywhere else in the UK. A question I will ask.

It's a great thing to do. I just post mine via Royal Mail if it's the Recycled Candle Co. you're talking about?
Taz x :)

In Exeter - DH looked up the Royal Mail costs, if we can take ours when we visit Devon : otherwise posting is the option 8)

If you check the measuremts on royal mail site then you can keep costs low. When are you off to Devon? Have a good time. The Sidmouth option drop-off makes for easier parking I would think.

Tnx for that. We haven't planned a date - yet. We crave the coast so may base ourselves in Barnstable. Will look at the weather 4cast next week and book ahead.

Oh I thought you were going South. North is lovely. If you crave the coast why not stay on the coast? Some beautiful places.

We have friends near Barnstable to visit, anxiety allowing. My plan is to travel down to a Hotel that I have found then contact them if I feel well enough. In the meantime we can travel around without pressure from others, hence taking the candle wax with us. No date fixed but the Plan is there ;-)

Thats a really good way to do it in order to keep anxiety under control. :)

It's the best way for us. That way I don't have to justify ....
I now have a large box of candles ready to take and have told my neighbour who uses lots that should she want, she can add hers to the box.

You could set yourself up as a collection point!

;D. :thankyou: an idea to keep in mind.
