Title: AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone) test
Post by: KarineT on November 28, 2021, 07:55:21 PM
For those of you who want to have an idea when they will reach the menopause, there is the AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) test available.  This looks at your ovarian reserve and it's fairly accurate.  I did this test back in February 2020 because I wasn't feeling comfortable not knowing when I would reach the menopause.  I thought I was going to be stuck in the peri stage for a very long time. I was 49 at the time and thought that women reach the menopause well into their 50s.  How wrong I was!  The test didn't lie, as it showed I was already postmenopausal. Hence  I haven't had a bleed since February 2020.
